Dr. Gómez Flores is an Associate Professor “D”, with a Bachelor Degree in Chemist Bacteriologist and Parasitologist (1987) and a Ph.D. in Microbiology (1995) at UANL. Also, he has postdoctoral degrees in Neuroendocrine Immunology from University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria, IL., and in Microbiology from the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. He is in charge of the Immunomodulators and Carriers of Drugs Unit, Laboratory of Immunology and Virology of the School of Biological Sciences, UANL. He has published 94 articles in international journals, 20 national articles and 8 chapters of books at international level. Furthermore, he is the co-author of 2 books on Business Skills Development. Currently, he is a Level 3 researcher in the National System of Researchers (CONACyT), has a PRODEP profile, and is a member of the Mexican Academy of Sciences. He has been awarded the Minority Supplement Nacional Institutes of Health (NIH) Fellowship Grant (1997), the NIH Research Fellowship (F32) (1998-2001) and by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003).
